What happens to the details you send us
Effective 7 October 2026. This policy covers the independent Stoked Casino guide for Australian readers. It isn’t the privacy policy of the casino itself, which handles the data you give it when you register, deposit or verify your identity.
Who is responsible for your information
The editorial team that publishes this guide decides what personal information is collected through it and how it’s used. We handle that information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
Mostly nothing. You can read every page without giving us any details. The exceptions are the information you choose to send when you write to us with a correction or question, which normally means your name or nickname, your email address and the content of your message, and basic technical data your browser sends when it loads a page, such as device type and the pages visited.
We don’t ask for casino passwords, card numbers, bank details or identity documents, and you shouldn’t send them. If you do, we’ll delete them and let you know.
Why we use it
We use messages to answer you and to fix mistakes in the guide. We use technical data to see which pages are read and whether they load properly. Your consent covers messages you send, and technical data is used only to keep the website running properly.
Cookies
The site may use cookies or similar tools to keep pages working and to measure traffic. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, and the pages will still read normally.
Who else sees it
We don’t sell personal information. It may be handled by service providers that host the site or provide analytics and email, who may only use it to provide those services. We’ll also disclose information where the law requires. Links to the casino and other sites lead to places with their own privacy practices.
How long we keep it
Messages are kept for as long as we need to respond and make any correction, and then deleted or de-identified within a reasonable time. Technical data is kept in summary form.
Keeping it secure
Access is limited to people who need it, accounts use strong passwords, and we review what we hold from time to time. No online system is risk-free, so avoid putting sensitive details in an email.
Overseas transfers
Some providers may store data outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure they handle it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us at [email protected]. If you’re unhappy with the answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Children
The guide is for people aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you think a minor has sent us details, tell us and we’ll remove them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the effective date above.
